Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift.
That’s why it’s called the present!

RELATIONSHIP BREAKDOWN

RELATIONSHIP BREAKDOWN

LEARNING FROM A
RELATIONSHIP BREAKDOWN

A divorce, separation or, in general, any loss of an important relationship is a painful experience. . Such pain can seriously diminish our peace and happiness. We can, however, use this inner discomfort for our spiritual benefit.

If we are thinking of separating, there are many lessons we need to examine before we can come to the conclusion that we must separate from someone. But if the other leaves us or this separation has already happened, we might be able to benefit from the following.

1. Our first lesson is to examine our behavior to see how we might have contributed to the problem. Only in this way can we create a new healthy relationship if we chose to.

In relation to this we might want to examine the following:

*We may have been criticizing, complaining, rejecting or otherwise causing the other to feel unaccepted.

*We may have been seeking continual affirmation in ways that may have been tiring for the other.

* Our fears may have been causing us to be over sensitive and annoying. *Perhaps we were playing games of power, who is right or who is more successful.

* We might have been playing roles such as the child, the parent, the savior, the holy one, the rebel, the teacher or some other role which may have affected the other¹s behavior.

* We may have guilt feelings that were making us vulnerable to the other¹s words or behaviors.

* Perhaps we were not communicating our needs clearly and effectively as an adult and were suppressing ourselves or complaining, criticizing or threatening.

* We might have been projecting onto the other our childhood or other experiences.

* The other might have been reflecting back to us our lack of self-esteem or self-respect.

* We may have attachments that were coming between us.

* We may have inner conflicts, which were reflecting back to us from the other.

2. We may need to learn to love the other in spite of his or her behavior, regardless of whether we stay with that person or not.

3. We can discover that we can live without this person and that happiness, security and love are internal states that are always within us, if only we allow ourselves to experience them.

4. We can use this opportunity to develop greater inner strength so as to feel confident and able to face whatever may come to us in the game of life.

5. Most of us will need to change our self-image. We need now to learn to accept, love and respect ourselves more, so that we do not create the same problem in our next relationship or in life in general.

6. By directing our energies in a spiritual direction and developing a relationship with God - the Universal Being, we are no longer so vulnerable or so dependent on others for our feelings of security and self-worth.

Our lessons might be separated into five categories:

1. We might need to learn to communicate more effectively, assertively and lovingly.

2. Perhaps we need to let go of some attachments, which are increasing our conflicts with others and diminishing our happiness.

3. Examine our behaviors that might be annoying the other.

4. Free ourselves from subconscious programmings, which limit our self-esteem and ability to attract the behaviors that we deserve.

5. Develop inner feelings of security, self worth and freedom.

Once our happiness, security and love have become internalized,
we can experience unconditional love.

Although we need to make every possible step to heal our relationships,
if and when a relationship breaks down,
there is still much we can learn.

Be Well

What price do you place on your health

What price do you place on your health

What price do you place on your health and what would you pay to be truely happy?

Remember, beauty is never skin deep. Nothing only exists because of the shell it belongs to or has been given. Bearing this in mind, whenever we want to change anything, whether it be physical, mental or emotional, (our appearance, feelings and thoughts) the change ONLY occurs from changing your thoughts, thinking patterns, and your feelings about how you see yourself.

For example, we change our looks easily and have any amount of cosmetic surgery we could afford, but unless we feel beautiful inside, we will never feel beautiful outside. We must first love ourselves in order that we can love others. If we dont know how to even treat ourselves with love and compassion, how could we every treat anyone else with the same?

No one is saying it is easy to change the way you think, I certainly know its not. But how much money would it be worth to you to be happy in your life, with all aspects of your life? Could any amount of money ever make up for you being miserable and unhappy in your life? If you truely believe you are happy in life and you think it's all genuine, then all I ask you to do is take all the material things away out of your life and imagine that all you have left is your family, friends, pets, the roof over your house with no objects in there and last of all yourself, your body, including your feelings, thoughts, thinking patterns and physical looks and your good health.

Would you still be content and happy, with the most important things in your life you have left? If the answer to that question is no, then dont you think it's time YOU found happiness within? Instead of just looking beyond that and to other people and material objects in your life, which will give you a little satisfaction for a short time only, which are all purely false hopes.

Life is truely amazing if you allow it to be and the moment you allow yourself to be happy and love yourself for who you are is the moment you will never look back on your life and only look forward and be so happy and positive about everything in your life.

If your not happy and want to change your life, then dont wait until the time is right. When will the time ever be right? There is always some excuse we can make for putting things off, but when it comes to our health is this really wise? We all lead busy and complicated lifes and have little if any time to place the emphasis on ourselves and our own well being.

Yet each and every second of every day, we rely on our bodies for every single function which we have. We all take for granted each breath we have, theres an endless supply without a second thought. If we do not give our bodies the right conditions to enable them to heal themselves, we will without a doubt suffer the consequences. We dont think twice about buying that new outfit we have had our eye on, of spending money on outings here, there and everywhere, yet when it comes to our health, can we truly say we take some me time each day. To relax and enjoy the things we love to do in life and just to remind ourselves how lucky we are and for the blessings we already have in our lifes?

Life is all about choices and decisions. Each and every day we are the ones in control of our own destiny. If we are not happy, we can change that simply by changing the way we are thinking. Our dreams will only be as big or as small as we allow them to be. Everything we could possibly ever want and need we already have within. The universe provides us with all the prosperity and abundance we could ever need, the moment we chose to allow it and accept it. The problem most of us have is that we are looking for outside factors and influences to find true happiness and contentment within. The moment we do that, is the moment we place our fate and destiny in the hands of others and will never be happy because we are striving for another to help us find what we already have within, just never bother to look for.

The key to finding true happiness and contentment is by focusing on ones self. It could not be any easier. To analyse our own thoughts, feelings and actions, will give us all the answers we have been looking for. When we take the focus away from ourselves and look for outside influences, we will always be looking in vain.

We have all the tools to heal ourselves and our own bodies, we were born with them. ANY illness or disease was created by ourselves and our thoughts which are the circumstances which we have given our bodies. If negative thoughts are continued they will be carried by water and begin to manifest in the body and become a disease or illness. Our minds are the author and our body is the script. We are what we think and always will be. If we think we are fat, ugly, unhappy or depressed, then that is the state we will remain in, until we change our own thought patterns and change our way of thinking into positive and constructive. By simply telling ourselves how we want to look or feel each day or by using positive affirmations we can change our thought patterns and change the whole way we look at life. We can all change who we are and what we have become if we are not happy, by simply changing the way we think.

Losing weight

There are a lot of "crash" diets out there that promise that you'll drop a considerable amount of weight in days or a week.

I have tried a few of these, and in my experience the weight always comes back on, just as quickly since the weight loss tips given are not something that will work with your body.

One thing you don't want to do if you are actually serious about losing weight is to follow these fad diets and their ridiculous weight loss tips.
Google

After their ineffectiveness has been proven time and again, people will start to wise up to that particular diet, and will head off in search of a new craze.

Lets be honest, people are always searching for new weight loss tips because they want to lose pounds and they want immediate results, but this is just wishful thinking.

To lose weight permanently and effectively it will be a rather slow progress, all depending on your metabolic rate and how much you need to lose.
There are however some proven tried and true weight loss tips for aiding in the weight loss process, and I can make you familiar with them.

Weight Loss Tip 1
Don't skip breakfast. Whatever you do follow this advice, because otherwise you are much more likely in fact prone to binge later in the day.

Weight Loss Tip 2
Don't eat anything for at least an hour before going to bed.

Weight Loss Tip 3
Don't snack while watching TV. It's acceptable to eat a meal while watching television, but never is snacking at this time acceptable.

Weight Loss Tip 4
Substitute fruits like; bananas, watermelon, plums, peaches, and oranges for sugary treats like; cookies and candy.

Weight Loss Tip 5
Substitute honey for sugar, and carob powder for chocolate in all recipes. These taste just as good if not better when used properly.

Weight Loss Tip 6
Eat more vegetables. This can even be enjoyable if you have a good cookbook like Good housekeeping's latest edition.

Weight Loss Tip 7
Avoid unnecessary high calorie foods. Instead of a high calorie salad dressing for instance try cottage cheese or yogurt to improve the salads taste and peel of the pounds.

Weight Loss Tip 8
Exercise at least a half hour each day for five days out of the week. Biking on a stationery bike while reading is a great form of exercise to slim legs.

In conclusion there is nothing stopping you from losing weight except yourself.
Get off the "I can't do anything about my weight problem" bandwagon and start dropping pounds today!

Start Living in Prime Time – By Denis Waitley ***
----------------------------------------------------

Prime time is that period between 6 and 10 p.m. during which most of the general public watches television. Commercials in prime time are the most expensive, approaching a million dollars per minute. Your real success in life will take a quantum leap when you stop watching other people making monëy in their professions performing in prime time, and start living your own dreams and goals in prime time.

Time is the ultimate equal opportunity employer. Time nevër stops to rest, nevër hesitates, nevër looks forward or backward. Life’s raw material spends itself in the nöw, this moment, which is why how you spend your time is far more important than all the material possessions you may own or positions you may obtain.

Positions change, possessions come and go, you can earn more monëy. You can renew your supply of many things, but like good health, that other most precious resource, time spent is gone forever.

Each yesterday, and all of them together, are beyond your control. Literally all the monëy in the world can’t undo or redo a single act you performed. You cannot erase a single word you said. You can’t add an "I love you," "I’m sorry," or "I forgive you," not even a "thank you" you forgot to say. Each human being in every hemisphere and time zone has precisely 168 hours a week to spend. And some of the most precious hours occur in prime time.

Consider this: most of your daytime hours are spent helping other people solve their problems. The little time you have in the evenings and on weekends is all you have to spend on yourself, on your own dreams and goals, and personal development. Some thoughts to ponder:

* Have supper with your loved ones at least two to three times per week. It’s the best time for casual conversation to listen to what those close to you feel is important in their lives. Mealtime is a time for dialogue.

* A television set is an appliance. It should be used, at most, for two hours at a time. It should be off, unless specific programs of interest are selected. It should not be used as a one-eyed babysitter. For the most part, TV exposes us to negative role models.

* Instead of watching television, why not read a good fiction or nonfiction book, write a letter, engage in a hobby or craft, call a friend or someone in need of encouragement on the phöne, network on your computer, go out to an ethnic restaurant, a home show, an entrepreneurial show, a musical recital, a play, a fitness class, or cultural event? Take an art or photography class. Use prime time to live the kind of life others put on layaway.

Action Idea: If you and your family/friends watch TV, try not turning it on for one week. When you do watch TV, reduce by 50% the amount of time you spend watching it. Concentrate your evenings and frëe time engaged in hands-on, real-life experiences that you can touch, feel, smell and engage all your senses in. Instead of virtual reality, insist on the real thing.
